Due to chronic early flowering, sweet cherries only crop occasionally when the stars line up just right to avoid frosts at the wrong time. 2010 was one of those magic years.

Pete is retired from the computer industry and lives just outside of Boulder, Colorado. His main hobby during the spring, summer, and fall is gardening, particularly fruit gardening. In the winter Pete spends a lot of time on Colorado ski slopes.

(Geeky browser note on the web site: This web site is constructed using Microsoft Office 2003 Publisher. This web site displays somewhat poorly  using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 — same company, only 5 years later. Internet Explorer version 6 works a lot better here. Current browsers from other vendors don’t seem to have  the difficulty that IE8 has. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari are suggested as possible alternate browsers. A web site rewrite using different tools is contemplated to avoid this absurdity.)
